We carefully choose materials and lenses, we continuously test the resistance of the products and we turn to the certifying body Certottica to certify the quality of the glasses to be offered to our customers.

LIGHT POLYCARBONATE AND 100% HYPOALLERGENIC

We have selected quality polymers for the frames and lenses of our eyewear to guarantee the best characteristics of mechanical resistance, elasticity, lightness and visual transparency. This translates into eyewear offering a sensation of extreme comfort and visual clarity, in total safety, thanks to the hypoallergenic properties and performance of polycarbonate.

NICKEL-FREE METAL

Utilissimi metal frames are treated exclusively with non-toxic nickel-free galvanic plating. All colouring treatments and varnishes are totally non-toxic.

100% UVA AND UVB RAY PROTECTION

The lenses of Utilissimi sunglasses are made of non-regenerated polymer and offer 100% protection from UVA/UVB rays in both the standard and polarized versions. They can be category 1, 2 and 3 based on the colour of the filters and consequently on the amount of light that reaches the eye.

Quality control

Before getting to chemist’s, over the counter chemist’s and online, Utilissimi glasses are subjected to rigorous checks by the Quality Department at our headquarters in Vicenza.

Interpupillary distance
Lens asphericity
Conformity of the surface of lenses and frame
Colour uniformity
Flex system of temple hinges
Correct legal marking

Certifications

The products of each Utilissimi line are subjected to structural and allergological analysis at Certottica di Longarone (BL), the only Italian institution authorized to certify optical products. In addition, all Utilissimi glasses are CE marked and comply with the standards established by the European Community. For reading glasses: UNI EN 14139:2010, EU Regulation 2017/745 and Ministerial Decree 26/11/2004. For sunglasses: European standard EN ISO 12312-1: 2013, relating to class I personal protective equipment (sunglasses), UNI EN ISO 12312-1:2013/A1:2015 and regulation (EU) 2016/425.
